Piano 소피아 바쉐룩 Sofia Vasheruk

음악가 집안에서 태어난 모스크바 출신 피아니스트 소피아 바쉐룩은 천부적 음악적 재능을 바탕으로 4세가 되던 해부터 그네신 음악대학에서 Traub 교수와 모스크바의 쇼팽 음악대학의 Knorre교수에게서 피아노를 배웠다.

 

그녀는 학창시절동안, 벨기에 브뤼셀에서 열린 퀸 엘리자베스 콩쿨(세미 파이널리스트), 나폴리 지그문트 탈베르그 국제 피아노 콩쿨(3위 입상), 네덜란드 엔스헤데 국제 피아노 콩쿨(3위 입상), 벨기에 앙드레 뒤모티에 국제 피아노 콩쿨(그랑프리 및 특별상),암스테르담 네덜란드 피아노 콩쿨 “영 피아니스트 파운데이션”(3위 입상) 등을 비롯한 많은 국제 콩쿨에서 입상하였다. 2012년 네덜란드 엔스헤데 아르테즈 음악원을 졸업하였고, 2014년 아트이지 콘서바토리움에서 우등으로 석사학위를 받았으며 2012년에서 2016년까지 이탈리아 플로렌스의 피에졸레 음악원에서 Eliso Virsaladze교수의 지도아래 대학원 과정을 마쳤다.

 

소피아 바쉐룩은 지속적인 연주활동을 펼치며 독주와 실내악 연주 양방향으로 폭넓게 레퍼토리를 확장하고 있다. 특히 실내악에서 독일 가곡을 중심으로 하는 성악 반주 뿐만 아니라 수 많은 첼리스트들과 함께 연주 투어를 하며 피아노와 첼로 작품 연주에 많은 에너지를 쏟아 붓고 있다. 

 

또한 그녀는 지난 해, 멕시코 과나후아토의 후아레즈 극장, 러시아 모스크바 필하모닉의 차이코프스키 콘서트홀, 이탈리아 팔레르모 클래시카 국제 페스티벌, 불가리아 플로브디프 국립 오페라, 아르메니아 예레반의 아람 카차투리안 콘서트홀, 스페인 알리칸테의 오디토리오 데 라 디퓨테이션과 토레비에야 오디토리오, 네덜란드 암스테르담의 IJ콘서트 홀, 포르투갈의 오디토리오 보아노바 등에서 북네덜란드 심포니 오케스트라, 러시아 국립 오케스트라, 팔레르모 클래시카 페스티발 오케스트라, 아르메니아 국립 심포니 오케스트라, 과나후아토 심포니 오케스트라, 사바리아 심포니 오케스트라, 루마니안 국립 필하모닉 오케스트라, 튀르키예 국립 필하모닉 오케스트라를 비롯한 많은 유명 오케스트라와 협연 무대를 펼쳤다. 

 

2017년 팔레르모 클래시카 국제 페스티벌의 후원을 받아 드뷔시의 사망 100주년을 기념하며 자신의 첫 번째 앨범 “Reverie”를 발매한 바쉐룩의 다음 프로젝트는 2장의 앨범을 녹음하는 것으로 첫번째 앨범은 “Paysages(풍경)”이란 타이틀로  바하 작품의 편곡을 비롯해 슈베르트와 바버, 스페인 작곡가 몸푸와 쇼스타코비치까지 이르는 다양한 시대의 걸작들을 아우르고 있으며, 다른 하나는 “Secret(비밀)”이라는 타이틀로 현대 작곡가 제롬 레사르의 작품에 헌정된 앨범이다. 

 

현재 소피아 바쉐룩은 듀오 파트너인 알렉산드카 카스페라와 함께 러시아의 위대한 작곡가 니콜라이 마이스코프스키의 작품들로 새로운 프로그램을 작업하고 있다. 또한 올해 세르게이 라흐마니노프에 탄생 150주년을 맞아 “Reminiscense라는 새로운 프로젝트를 선보일 예정이다. 

 

Sofia Vasheruk was born in Moscow into a family of musicians. With her innate vocation for music, Sofia Vasheruk began studying piano at the Gnessin State Music College at the age of 4 (studio of Prof. A. Traub), and then at the Chopin Music College in Moscow (Prof. K. Knorre).

 

During her studies, Sofia took part in several international competitions, such as The Queen Elisabeth Piano Competition in Brussels, Belgium (semifinalist); Sigsmund Thalberg International Piano Competition in Naples, Italy (3rd Prize); The International Piano Competition in Enschede, the Netherlands (3rd Prize); André Dumortier International Piano Competition in Belgium (Grand Prix and special awards); The Dutch National Piano Competition "Young Pianist Foundation" in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (3rd Prize) performing Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 in Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ with Noord Nederlands Orkest

In 2012, Sofia completed her studies at the Artez Conservatory Enschede (Prof. M. Markov). In August 2014, Sofia received her Master's Degree with honors (cum laude) from the Artez Conservatory. Between 2012 and 2016, she continued her studies at Scuola di Musica di Fiesole (Florence, Italy), where she has completed postgraduate studies under the tutelage of Prof. Eliso Virsaladze.

 

Sofia is constantly engaged in concert activities, always expands her repertoire as a solo pianist as well as being very passionate about chamber music. She is specializing on vocal music (mainly lied repertoire); and also on cello repertoire, touring a lot with different cello players, having in her repertoire an substantial amount of works written for piano and cello.

 

Sofia is regularly invited to play with various orchestras; last years she has played a large number of concerts with orchestras in such venues as Teatro Juárez in Guanajuato, (Mexico), Tchaikovsky Concert Hall of Moscow Philharmonic, Moscow (Russia), Palermo Classica International Festival (Italy), Plovdiv State Opera,( Bulgaria), Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Yerevan, (Armenia), Auditorio de la Diputation de Alicante, and Torrevieja Auditorio in Alicante, (Spain ), Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ in Amsterdam , (The Netherlands) Auditorio Boa Nova in Estoril (Portugal), working with such orchestras as: , Noord Nederlands Orkest, Russian National Orchestra, Palermo Classica Festival Orchestra, Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de Guanajuato, Savaria Symphony Orchester, Romanian State Philharmonic Orchestra, Turkish National Philharmonic Orchestra and many others.

 

In 2017 Sofia produces her first CD called “Reverie”, paying tribute to the centenary of the death of Claude Debussy. This project was supported by Palermo Classica International Festival.

 

Her next projects are recordings of two CD`s, one is called "Paysages" and it is a wonderful kaleidoscope of various masterpieces from different time frames, from Bach tranions, works of Schubert to Barber, Mompou and Shostakovich and another CD called "Secret" is dedicated to the music of a contemporary composer Jerome Lesar.

 

Currently Sofia is also working on a new program with her duo partner Aleksandra Kaspera (cello) with remarkable pieces of great Russian composer Nikolay Myaskowsky. Also in 2023 Sofia will be presenting a new project called Reminiscenses, dedicated to a jubileum of Sergey Rachmaninov, based on her last interview.
